HoM and what can be stored in there?
Why can't more be displayed in our halls, there's so much more they can do with the halls. It would be very cool if we could display other weapons, maybe greens or rare weapon drops like celestial weapons. I don't get why only two types of weapons can be displayed and really, if you're a warrior why on earth would you go and pay for a mesmer destroyer wand just to display it, never mind the fact that putting it in your hall customizes making it useless after the fact. And what about everlasting, arent they rare enough to be displayed? I just don't see the logic in some of the things they do with the HoM when it can be so much more than it is now.

Linsey has already stated why, I have posted her reasoning on the forums a few time. I am too lazy to do it again. So I shall give you a summarized version:
-Anet wanted the HoM to be "worth something" - i.e., prestige *which means rarity pretty much so bye bye greens*
-It is hard to code in all the different golds, as to put it up apperently means it has to be a certain req or something like that. I don't recall much since it's been a while since I read it and not just posted it.

These have no business in the HoM. Easy to get and not rare.

I disagree Blame. Destroyer weapons require about 15-20k (assuming you buy mats) and a quick trip to Slavers. I've always thought that those endgame green items you get should be displayable. I mean, I can show some unimportant destroyer weapon but not the very swords that Shiro used? Not bitching here, just doesn't seem to make any sense. I understand that they can only allow so much before things get bloated though.

It seems like since they added the Torment weapons to the HoM, there should be 'equally' rare weapons from each campaign that can be displayed as well. I think the most obvious instance are the Celestial weapons from Factions. And for Prophecies... well, the endame Droknars Forge (Explorable) weapons are about even with the destroyer weapons in price, and since you have to do the Hell's Precipice mission I'd say they are arguably more difficult to obtain.
Why should EotN AND Nightfall get all the love? I could see if it was just destroyer weapons from EotN that got in there, but now it's just unequally balanced.
*Ahem* there's my $.02 on the matter. >_>
(personally I'd rather that my characters actual weapons got to be displayed, but...)

Since it's all subjective, it would be best if HoM gave several slots in which we could place weapons that we hold near and dear. I believe every single one of us has such weapons. In my case it's a HoD sword and I much rather have it dedicated to my HoM than some ugly destroyer or even uglier tormented weapon.
But, as was stated before - ain't gonna happen.

And about that my warrior should need to buy a mesmer wand ...then don't.
Besides the whole point of this new update is two allow account based doing it so the mesmer can buy the wand. Or give it to anohter cahracter that could make used to it/hero

The current weapon sets that can be put in the HoM are craftable/collectable. That's why they're allowed while other sets aren't: they have fixed basic stats, and being able to obtain them it's not just a matter of luck with drops.
The displays in the HoM supposedly have a GW2-related function. HoM is not a gallery to show off, that's purely incidental.

tbh, Destroyer weapons are crap now, but when GWEN was released, they was worth like 100k (remember 7k+ for onyx?). due to ursans doing DoA, the price of Tormy and Destroyer weaps was about the same one day. 600 monks running every dungeon and loads of onyxes and diamonds get from treasures and end chests ruined the price, and Destroyer weapons became something along the lines of regular crafter weapons.

I don't know about that, getting destroyer weapons is very easy, gold, mats and Slavers. That's all you need. People MAKE and SELL destroyer weapons in the main cities all the time. I think the luck of the drop is just as valid if not more so. I have a Celi shield that I love because I got it in a drop, I didnt buy it or have it crafted, I really did work for it. It means far more to me than my destroyer weapons.
As far as end game greens go...You had to beat the game to get it, how much more of a rarity do you want?
And lastly, what's wrong with making other weapons collectable? Maybe that's just what the stagnet GW economy needs.

You can only get one green per character, unless you buy a lot of the tokens. I would prefer end-game golds. There is a complete set of Deldrimor golds, for example, that cost about the same amount (cash + mats) as the Destroyer golds. I don't see why the Deldrimor weapons are any less "prestigious" than the Destroyer, plus they aren't fugly. If "prestige" = "price", then fine: raise the price or add a more-expensive rare material or increase the amount of Deldrimor Steel needed.

I believe the HoM is deliberately limited due to the (future) link to GW2, where each item that can be registered to the HoM grants something in GW2. Miniatures are potentially easy if they just port them straight across - everything else requires something to be added on the GW2 end - assuming they don't just do it based on numbers.

i think having green's, golds and then 1-2 other weapons of any type would be good
and 1.5k armour, and if possible armour mixes
add statues for stuff like tombs, slavers exile and some others
show the heros in there pimp armour, rather than there old bleh clothes aswell...

I, for the most part agree. But I think there should be a new kind of weapon set for Factions, as Zodiac and Celestial are not that rare anymore, and the rest are "crafted". I would also love to see that Weaponsmith in the FoW near the Battlefield actually craft something. *hint hint* Maybe add a weaponcrafter for a new weapon set after the completion of Urgoz/Deep. Or even in the Urgoz/Deep outpost.

Since we don't even really know HOW the HOM will tie in with GW2, it really doesn't matter. That's why I haven't bothered to dedicate any of my minipets yet. What's the rush?
Wait to see if what you add to the HoM even really matters in GW2 (or if its just some generic unlock) before complaining that you want more stuff in there.

I understand your point Hawk, but then again why dont u just go ahead?....It wouldn't change anything except you get some nice statues. Also you can still keep the pets, if you dont like a mini then why hold onto it.

yeah, destroyer weapons actually used be expensive to make with the materials. but that was before the rapage of dungeons. especially the VS farm, lol. Tormented weapons still qualify as one of the more expensive weapons to buy. @ 200k+ each, not exactly cheap to put 11 in ur hall =P. other than destroyer and tormy, there is no other expensive crafter weapons, and that is why it's only destroyer and tormy. although the customized thing is annoying ><. i wish it had the same dedicated status as mini-pets so that they still retain some value and can be used amongst multiple characters ><. maybe this april update will allow weapons in the hall to be used account wide since the hall is technically gonna become account wide now. one can only hope i suppose. or customized weapons should be per account instead of per character ><. idk, w/e. will have to wait until the update and hope =). as for other stuff being added, i don't know what more u want than additional weapon options. everlasting tonics are meh for the hall. big gaudy statue with giant monsters on it? nty

His premise: There's so much more than can be done with the hall!
I didn't realize this before, but I'm starting to see that some people see the HoM as a place to keep stuff rather than it being an unlocking feature for GW2.
I get his question, but I think it's a matter of understanding (or not understanding) what the HoM really is and what it is intended to do.
We (sorta) know what it is, we're just not sure what it's intended to do.
What it is: in general terms, it holds stuff.
What it does: Other than gives you a Rainbow Phoenix, it has yet to really be released. We have an idea, but there's no assurance behind that idea as of yet.
So I get why people ask many many times in riverside "why can't I add xyz" or "why can't I change the order of things" because right now it just holds stuff! So far it really has no intended purpose other than to get a rainbow phoenix and hold stuff!
